Aurelia Nowicka

Education
Dr (hab.) Aurelia Nowicka received a master’s degree from Poznań University Law School in 1976, receiving her doctorate in civil and patent law from the same school in 1987. Her 1995 post-doctorate dissertation on Copyright and Patent Protection for Software represented the first comprehensive Polish treatment of this important area of intellectual property law. In 1996, Dr (hab.) A. Nowicka received a tenured professorship at Poznań University Law School.

Achievements
Ms. Nowicka has studied at several renowned foreign academic institutions, including the Max Planck Institute in Munich, the Asser Institute in The Hague, and The Hague Academy of International Law. She is the author of more than a dozen research papers, including 4 books, on various topics in the area of civil and commercial law, intellectual property, international private law, banking law, and European law.
