While foreign Clients and their Polish subsidiaries represent the greater part of our practice, our recruiting and hiring policies are based exclusively on graduates from Polish law schools. This policy reflects our belief that to successfully practice law in Poland, one must first and foremost have a comprehansive knowledge of Polish law.

However, this does not mean that we do not attach importance to knowledge of solutions applied in foreign legal systems, especially since our clients expect us to transpose the legal solutions with which they are familiar to the Polish situation, which would be impossible without our in-depth awareness of concepts derived from foreign jurisdictions. In order to develop our lawyers' knowledge in this respect, the firm sponsors and organizes participation in post-graduate studies, courses, conferences, and work placements in cooperation with foreign universities and institutions and renowned foreign law firms.

We also provide on-going and "summer holiday" work placements for students in their final year of legal studies. Each year around thirty students cooperate with us in this manner. This program gives rise to tangible benefits as many of our new legal recruits were previously participants in the student work placement program.

We also enable our lawyers to reconcile work in SK&S with other obligations arising from legal training and post-graduate and doctoral studies.
