SK&S is one of the first Polish law firms that has established a separate tax department. The department, founded and headed by Jarosław Bieroński, provides highly specialized advice, including representation of clients before the Supreme Administrative Court and government bodies, plans and assesses transactions concerning their tax optimisation and coherency, conducts tax mediation, assists in obtaining official interpretations of tax law provisions and binding tariff information and participates in tax audits and the preparation of "transfer price" documentation. The favourable judgments we have obtained from administrative courts on numerous occasions have prepared the ground for new interpretations by tax authorities. Many of the optimisation solutions are novel in nature and have been developed in strict cooperation with experts from other fields of law in order to provide legal coherence in transactions performed with SK&S' assistance. Significant projects have included tax planning and investment implementation in Poland.
