Regulatory matters
We have acted in numerous proceedings before the President of Poland’s Civil Aviation Authority (Urząd Lotnictwa Cywilnego) concerned with launching and pursuing concerns in the aviation business, including obtaining authorisation or limited air traffic rights, and those concerned with air security. We also act in other administrative proceedings in particular those that organize air traffic, and concern the approval of airport charges or adjustments to airport rules.
Contracts
We have participated in negotiations with the managers of over a dozen airports in Poland and in other European countries to agree cooperation agreements, base airport agreements among them. We have also negotiated contracts with the providers of ground services. We have advised clients on the process of drafting general terms of air carriage, and on agency contracts in the aviation sector.
Labour law
We provide comprehensive legal assistance on employment matters. Our counsel covers industry-specific rules applicable to aviation personnel.
Litigation
We represent clients in their disputes with airports. We have handled civil and criminal law cases concerned with aviation incidents and accidents. We represent airlines in proceedings brought up by passengers, including those to obtain compensation under Regulation 261/2004.
Purchase and sale of aircraft
We have advised clients on the purchase of aircraft. We have also represented clients in aircraft sale transactions, including those through public procurement procedures. In a tender for the sale to the Polish authorities of small aircraft to carry VIPs, we advised the winning bidder. We have also advised on the sale of aircraft to the Border Guard (Straż Graniczna).
