New Lawyers Join SK&S Strengthening the Banking and Finance Practice

Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak, a leading law firm in financial markets advisory, is expanding its banking and finance team this September with the arrival of experienced lawyers from Deloitte Legal, specialising in finance transactions. Among them are highly regarded partners Tomasz Ostrowski and Aneta Urban.

This marks one of the most significant lateral moves in the legal sector in recent years. Tomasz Ostrowski and Aneta Urban will join SK&S as partners in the Banking and Finance Department, focusing on acquisition, real estate and project finance transactions, as well as restructurings and regulatory advisory. The team also includes experienced attorney-at-law Sylwia Karpińska and junior associate Lidia Gąsiorowska.

Tomasz Ostrowski is a qualified legal advisor in Poland and a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. He previously served as managing partner at an international law firm. His expertise spans acquisition finance, business ventures, and real estate transactions—including hotels, offices, commercial and logistics properties—as well as corporate finance and restructurings. He advises banks, borrowers, sponsors, investment funds and venture capital/private equity funds. Tomasz has also held partner roles at a leading American law firm and worked at the Warsaw office of a Magic Circle firm. He has been repeatedly recognised in rankings such as IFLR1000 (Market Leader), Chambers Europe, Chambers Global and Legal 500.

Aneta Urban is an attorney-at-law and formerly a local partner in the Banking and Finance team at Deloitte Legal. She has also served as a local partner at a top-tier American law firm and spent several years at the Warsaw office of a Magic Circle firm. Her practice focuses on banking and finance law, as well as consensual restructurings. She advises banks, financial institutions, investment and private equity funds, and borrowers on acquisition, real estate, project and corporate finance. Aneta is regularly ranked in Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, Legal 500 and IFLR1000.

Sylwia Karpińska, attorney-aw-law and graduate of the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Law and Administration and the British Law Centre, previously worked as a senior associate in the Banking and Finance team at Deloitte Legal. She supports borrowers and lenders in corporate finance projects involving bank loans and debt instruments, and has advised on international transactions and regulatory matters. She has been recognised as a recommended lawyer in Legal 500.
