SK&S team advised Bioagra-Oil S.A. in the acquisition of control of Emer sp. z o.o.

The SK&S team advised Bioagra-Oil S.A. – a leader in the production of methyl esters and glycerine – in taking control of Emer sp. z o.o. by acquiring a majority stake in Emer.

Bioagra-Oil is part of the BZK capital group, which includes Bioagra, Komagra, Staoil, Bakoma, Polskie Młyny and BZK Alco. The group is a national leader in biofuel production, with a 25% share of the Polish market, supplying 510,000 tonnes of biofuels, and is the largest processor of agricultural raw materials in Central and Eastern Europe, processing 1.6 million tonnes of raw materials, including rapeseed, wheat and maize.

Emer is involved in the purchase of category 3 animal by-products (UPPZ) and the processing of these raw materials, resulting in two main products, i.e. liquid rendered fats called UPPZ derivatives and high-protein animal meal (PAP).
