SK&S Advised Axpo Polska on a Long-term Storage Services Agreement Concluded with R.Power’s Subsidiary
Jesteśmy kancelarią, którą tworzą ludzie o ogromnej pasji, wiedzy i doświadczeniu. Nasz zespół stale się powiększa.

We advised Axpo Polska Sp. z o.o. on the conclusion of a long-term agreement with R.Power’s subsidiary for the provision of energy storage services, securing long-term revenues for one of the largest utility scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) currently under development in Poland, located in Jedwabno (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship).
Within the cooperation, effective until the end of 2037, Axpo will manage the commercial dispatch and balancing services with use of the BESS installation with a capacity of 150 MW and storage volume of 300 MWh. Once commissioned, the facility will be among the largest energy storage systems in Poland, significantly enhancing the flexibility and stability of the national power system.
This project marks another step in the long-standing partnership between Axpo and R.Power, confirmed by numerous power purchase agreements (PPAs) covering approximately 300 MW of photovoltaic capacity. The new agreement further demonstrates the growing importance of private investment in the development of the Polish energy storage market.
The SK&S team – Tomasz Młodawski (Partner, Energy) and Krzysztof Woś (Senior Counsel, Energy) – provided Axpo Polska with comprehensive legal support, including drafting and negotiating the agreement.
