SK&S Supports BGK in Opening its Representative Office in Kyiv

Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak advised Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) on the establishment of its representative office in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The project was conducted in close cooperation with the Ukrainian law firm Aequo.

Its primary mission of the new BGK representative office is to support projects and investments financed by the European Commission under programmes dedicated to the reconstruction and modernisation of Ukraine. The office will also act as a contact hub for Polish businesses and institutions, offering market intelligence and facilitating their operational activities in Ukraine.

The initiative is part of BGK’s broader strategy to actively engage in the Ukraine Facility – an EU instrument designed to mobilise public and private investment in Ukraine. Beyond its financial role, the office will serve as BGK’s representative in dealings with Ukrainian financial institutions, government bodies, and businesses, promoting a positive environment for long-term economic cooperation.

On the legal side, SK&S provided comprehensive advisory services covering the regulatory, corporate, and operational aspects of establishing the representative office, working alongside Aequo’s team in Kyiv.
