SK&S advised Polskie ePłatności on the expansion of its domestic payment institution license

The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) unanimously adopted a decision to extend the authorization of Polskie ePłatności sp. z o.o. (part of the Nexi Group) to provide payment services as a domestic payment institution by adding the money remittance service.

Polskie ePłatności (PeP) is a leading Polish payment processor, offering a full range of payment solutions both at points of sale and online, as well as additional services. The company operates in Poland and other Central European countries. Polskie ePłatności is part of the Nexi Group – one of the leading players in the European payments market, formed through the merger and integration of Nexi, Nets, and Sia, which are leaders in the digital payments industry. The Nexi Group is present in over 25 countries.

The proceedings before the Polish Financial Supervision Authority were led by Dr. Michał Mostowik (Senior Counsel), with support of Maciej Juzoń (Senior Associate).

On behalf of Polskie ePłatności, the work involved a team of experts from various business units, coordinated by Mateusz Godecki (Chief Governance Officer) and Kamil Szafrański. The team included, among others, Marta Merta, Patrycja Smycz, Alan Migut, Tomasz Piec, Magdalena Pęczkowska, Katarzyna Kowalska, Piotr Sadkowski, Mateusz Pawlak, Dawid Fołta, and Radosław Morawski. Members of the Management Board – Maciej Nowosielski (CEO) and Zuzanna Hotiuk (CFO) – were also actively involved in the project.
